Just heard on the grapevine that stop-work orders have been issued for two Tanjung Bunga projects highlighted in this blog.

It will be interesting to see what sort of conditions are imposed in those orders.

Meanwhile, watch out for these guys (reported in The Star):

GEORGE TOWN: Bolton Bhd plans to spend RM200mil to acquire by March (2009) suitable sites in the north-east of Penang island for new residential projects, said executive chairman Datuk Azman Yahya.

“We plan to launch high-end residential properties with gross development value (GDV) of between RM600mil and RM800mil.

“The properties will comprise high-rise condominiums and landed residential homes,” he said after launching the company’s RM200mil Surin condominium project in Tanjung Bungah.

  5. Good job in issuing work orders to the hill slope projects. I am very disappointment with our Batu Uban ADUN, and Bayan Baru MP. Major soil erosion and flooding caused by the Hill slope projects along Bukit Gambir and Bukit Jambul. The first and last time I saw Batu Uban ADUN was before March 8. You better do something about the mess caused by Asia Hills, and Ashley Green projects, plus the Sunway Gambir development and all around. The amount of mud washed down last week was horrendous. Entry to SMK Bukit Jambul is cover by a thick layer of mud, and totally dangerous to all the students there.
ADUN Batu Uban, do something, or else next round, we will make sure we campaign for the opposition as we have always done, and ensure BN gets the seat back. That is a challenge!
