Whatever it is, we should create a wave of candle vigils around whole of Malaysia starting tonight at Bukit Aman, KL & Dewan Sri Pinang in Penang. This is the time to remind those idiots that March 8th was achieved out of solidarity for a new beginning. Peace is the way to go and we should get the world to notice that we, the new Malaysia, are people of peace !!!
I hope this is true. In the first place why detained the messenger. The whole thing really mess up our country image overseas. I couldn’t imagine how embarrassed our envoy in US having to explain the whole ‘silly arrest’.
Syed Albar saying she was detained for her own protection, very nice of our polis and very efficient of them eh, someone is in danger and they can completely neutralize the danger to them in 24 hours, I wonder if it is the stay in a police cell that makes one safe or is it the 350km drive to KL?
Fantastic, really, where else in the world can the person threatening an innocent being be free to continue whatever, while the threatened gets arrested.

Our country enters the phase of naked display of aggression. This happens when a regime is morally bankrupt and it will use immoral means to hold on to power. We might be weak but we still have the power of prayer and silent witnessing. After sunset mass this evening, 13th sept, there will be silent adoration until tomorrow morning at St Francis Xaviers church @ Kangar, Perlis.

If this is true it is good, but what about Teresa Kok? I can see no reason why she is being detained. In my opinion the whole issue about the azan is a red herring. From wht I read even the people in Bandar Kinrara who took up the petition for the volume of the speakers to be lowered (not for the azan but the subsequent sermons etc) have stated that she is not involved in the petition. So why is she arrested under ISA? If she has done something wrong charge her in court, bring it out into the open so we will all know. Anyway, I don’t believe that the ISA should be used at all on anyone. They should be charged under the relevant laws and get a chance to defend themselves.

Why risk losing face and credibility for such quick turnaround? Was Syed Hamid in full control of the “catch and release” “sports” event? Will anyone take responsibility for the meaningless event?

The reporter should not have been arrested in the first place. This clearly shows that ISA can be abused and should be repealed if Pakatan takes over.I believe that the repeal of an Act of Parliament like ISA only requires a simple majority.
Whoever is advising Pak Lah is surely making a mess out of everything from the last general election strategy,the fuel price increase, the handling of Anwar and now the ISA arrests.
Everything done by the present administration since the last GE has only alienated the rakyat further.
This administration is the author of its own misfortune and I believe we shall be seeing a new PM sooner than later.Whether its Anwar or Najib is left to be seen but I can’t imagine Pak Lah continuing for much longer.
This is the new Malaysia, please make way for individuals who are prepared to make way for a change and embrace that change. We all need a breathe of fresh air.
