I'm a rakyat, of course we deserve a good governance of government. I work in finance line and everytime start working in new area / branch I need time to blend in. Since it is less than 30 people, an approx 6 months to get things in place. 2 years are not long enough to see things from happening unless it is a movie that we see in the cinema or TV. I think (since I'm not in civil service / government) but work as State Head a) first get to know how things work / flow of daily tasks b) get to know the organization chart c) see thru the previous government on going projects or up coming new projects - need to defer , amend or proceed d) put the people in place e) to sell your idea and civil service buy that idea f) meanwhile, need to cater to the adun needs g) attend meetings after meetings (audit, business, risk management, welfare, federal meet, OSHA, adhoc project) h) attend signing ceremony i) attend staff wedding, birthday, death, etc j) attend social gathering, sport, family day k) party meets l) delegates visit from other states the list is endless. When you are in one shoes then only you can think aloud. Maybe you are never been so up before. Let me tell you life is not fair and you need to priorities what is urgent and not important not priorities not urgent but important. Have you read Sun Tzu Art of War. There are ample allocations of public funds for the setting up of hawker complexes in virtually every corner of the state, but what would you do if some hawkers insist on setting up their stalls on road sides and street corners (illegally)? Are they being stubborn and indisciplined or do they not have access to sites in hawker complexes? Or are they migrant workers who are not entitled to locate in Municipal hawker sites? Since the control and licensing of hawkers is under the jurisdiction of the Municipal council, the President of MPPP should explain to the people and the ratepayers the actual situation instead of allowing this to be politicised.
