BFM Uncensored interviews Bersih chairperson Ambiga Sreenevasan on the (dirty) state of Malaysian politics and what she expects in the coming general election.

  1. I lose confidence on her leadership in Bersih after her blindly support to anti-Lynas campaign.

Let listen to experts in the nuclear science like PAS MP, not the lawyer like Ambiga.

Probably Ambiga does not know the different within alpha, beta and gamma rays in nuclear science.

More stunning is another Perak MP in law profession also cannot comprehend more half-life span for an isotope actually mean the isotope is more stable and safe, not otherwise.

Count me out from Bersih 3.0.

    • Thorium-232 with a half-life span 14000000000 year means destructive beta and gamma radiations are negligible compared to alpha particle.

    • Potassium-40 in banana is more radioactive than Lynas rare earth by-product.

Mind you, Potassium-40 is 62 times more radioactive than Thorium-232.

The keyword here is the dose of alpha radioactive particles from Potassium-40 and Thorium-232 is too small and distributed evenly in the huge population.

    • But why does Australian government is disallowing Lynas from processing the rare earth in Australia itself if the radiation level is safe?

      • Show me the proof on your lie?

Australian government did approve rare earth processing plant, the decision to build a plant in Malaysia is 12-year tax free incentive, cheap labor, cheap water, cheap electricity, etc. cost reason.

What not you also ask Intel, Motorola, Bosch, etc why they build their factories in Malaysia?

    • NK Khoo, would YOU stay within 50km of the Lynas rare earth plant?

Since rare earth is so in profitable? Why should Malaysian government give 12 year tax break as incentive when it generates minimal jobs and causes so much environmental and health concerns with the Malaysian citizens?
