The CPO said we had to disperse cos 'no permit was asked and no permt was issued' When I asked would it be issued if asked, he promptly said no. This took place infront of Amcorp when I confronted him before the start of the vigil. Immediately, I told the rest to go into Amcorp and wait and I also told the people in A & W to wait there while I walked towards Shah motel and waited for others coming along this road. This clearly shows the might of law applies only to decent Malaysian who are seeking their basic right to rally while the orchestrated... UMNO ... venting their seditious 'ketuanan melayu' ... and other unislamic acts on tax-paying fellow citizens. We can now see for ourselves how this s… govt always lies. Earlier I had reported that the charge took place the moment the singing ended... but as the video UNDENIABLY shows, the FRU moved in BEFORE the conclusion of 'Negara Ku' thereby showing utter disrespect for the national anthem. I trust the Selangor CPO will take a look for himself and issue a sincere apology to all those who were rudely interrupted in the midst of singing the national anthem. His men clobbered a few for singing offkey and arrested others for wearing bright yellow & red T-shirts (the colours on the Selangor flag) without a police permit. And yes, the FRUs did charge at the crowd WHILE we were singing 'Negaraku'- so much for respecting the National Anthem. Attacking harmless people who were merely expressing their discontent - how brutal can they be? Is Malaysia becoming like Myanmar? Some one/people sure is/are desperate. One more thumbs down for the BN/UMNO govt and those concerned. Can't wait for Pakatan Raykat to take over and become the new govt. Yup, I was there too last night with another friend. I have been attending the vigils for the past 4 weeks and we never encountered any problem, I think bcos' RPK is out now and they are scare.....They must be fools to think that the arrest will deter us away from vigils..hey no way dumbs it makes me more determine to attend more in the future.
