In this era of Youtube, elected reps had better be on their toes when discharging their duties as they are coming under ever greater public scrutiny.

Three video clips show Penang Opposition Leader (from Umno/BN) Azhar Ibrahim apparently gesturing with his rear on two different occasions at the Penang State Assembly last week.

The first video has Azhar hitting out at theSun newspaper while apparently gesturing with his hand at his rear: “Itu paper pembohong besar. Ambil you punya paper calit … lagi baik. (That paper is a big liar. Take your paper and smear it with … would be better.)” His statement was made in the mistaken belief that theSun had reported him as commenting on a rowdy BN demonstration outside the state assembly when in reality the paper had not quoted him on the issue.

The second and third videos show different angles of the same action where Azhar appears to point his rear at PKR assembly member Sim Tze Tzin while saying, “Ini peraturan. (Here’s the regulation.)”

Azhar was later suspended for the rest of the meeting by the Speaker after refusing to apologise for his behaviour. He insisted he was only bending down to reach for his bag.

  1. Even CM Lim Guan Eng avoided stepping on the “frogs”, Gerakan Youth demanded his resignation as CM.

    What about this, Gerakan Youth?

Dare Gerakan Youth demand Azhar resign for (this)?

    Of course not…

    Anyway, Gerakan has become irrelevant.

  2. It is good to see the antics of such former “leaders” elected by the people to lead them. Together with those in Gerakan, MCA and MIC, these are the kind of leaders which had led Penang for the past 20 years, let us forget the time of Dr. Lim Chong Eu, as then such jokers had not surfaced because he was firm, but under the previous administration of the political eunuch, all these (funny) business and rude antics of those “ketuanan” politicans showed.

Indeed, the Rakyat of Penang, could not have done better, the efforts of 308 brings to the surface the kind of the so called leaders of yesteryears. Penangnites, we need to continue our efforts to change and to put such politicians mainly from Gerakan, UMNO, MCA and MIC to the pastures eternally.

One question we must always asked ourselves in the wake of all the spins and false reports in main stream media is,

How has the PR administration made your lives worst off compared to the previous administration? Has it affected your lives for the worst?

Fifty years of sufferings is enough, right now the NEP is falling apart, the BTN is being screwed left, right and centre. Qualified and educated Malays are leaving the country in huge numbers, because of the stigma attached to them as products of the NEP and viewed and deemed to be less capable.

There are so many factors that contributes to their leaving the country, and one of them is the mediocre education system! Malaysians, just be informed. Even educated and well qualified Malays are questioning the education system, they are worried for the future of their offsprings and this is certainly a cause for concern and deserves the thought of all Malaysians as well. For the sake of the future generation, JOM TUKAR!!!!!

            2) whether a person is corrupt or not is decided by court of law. To date, there are plenty of convicted BN/UMNO members

            3) Yes, look at top 10 of wealthiest Malaysians, there is no orang asli but plenty of Malaysian Chinese and Malaysian Malay. How the Malaysian Chinese and Malaysian Malay cry for marginalisation?

          • To enlighten a sick head like yours Gerakan K.

PR won five states through the sheer power and determination of the people. As it is there is nothing that can stop peoples power in a democracy! The BN goons like you could do nothing on the night of 308 due to the sheer size of the majority! There is just no way they can manipulate the results and watch out, there will be more to come.

The … courts, you are talking? The reason why no FDIs are coming in is because of a judiciary that had been …. wrecked! Even if they come in, there will be a special clause,” in case of disputes, all matters will be arbitrated in the courts outside Malaysia, preferably Singapore”, get it, stupid Gerakan K?

Again, your stupid head does not gel, the richest men in Malaysia that are listed, are those that have legal wealth, wang halal, not like wang haram, to show. They are involved in legal business unlike many many goons, from you know where, I guess, who had billions stashed away in offshores banks. Look at all the latest vehicles on the road, the top end, out of every ten, 8 will be driven by … UMNO goons, not our ordinary Malaysian Malays, who are just bumiputras but not UMNOputras, and they have to slog from day till dusk just to eke out a living, and certainly they are much hardworking then you, looking for “jalan” to makan wang aje.

Thank you for qualifying that your money is not halal! You cannot be more honest, which all of us know! LOL.

          • All BN people are the same all over — never use their brains first before spouting defensive lines. And in their defense stance, they’ll invariably almost always give comparative situations to pull wool over the Rakyat’s eyes.

“Oh, we can raise fares because it is still lower than other countries”
“Oh, we can raise electricity tariffs because we still pay the cheapest rates in Asia”
“Oh, because of this so we do that”
You get the picture. But these are actually not simple apples/oranges comparison. Somehow BN clowns in Govt and even those in Anil’s blog here want us to believe it is that simple.

And now, our Gerakan K buddy has upped the ante by giving an even more ludicrous comparison between Ahmad Ismail and LGE. One who went to jail defending a rape victim and lost his freedom versus one who is an unrepentant racist who, despite the ban, could still walk and talk … all he wants.

And Gerakan K is using these two men as a comparison study to justify why the racist deserves to be released early to cause more havoc on earth???

      • Aisay Anil you had deleted some nice things I had said about GK. I had phrase it so nicely ;-)

Within the buddhist community many believed that “right speech” is one where we speak courteously, nicely, gently and do not cause affront. In quite a few newsgroup they had argued that this is what constituted right speech. I had read quite a few sutras and Buddha and quite a few of the arahants were anything but nice in many of their speeches. The chinese mahayana tended to rewrite the sutra to portray Buddha as nice and gentle but if one look at the pali scripture Buddha had been known to be sarcastic, caustic and direct. He even called a monk stupid after he called all of them to an assembly. Maha kasyapa scolded ananda in front of all the nuns and the scolding was so harsh that ananda with all the nuns went to see Buddha and ask him why maha kasyapa was so mean and hateful towards him.

Right speech is in truth a speech that is right for the occasion.

Gerakan K is blind and deaf towards all that ail and plague the nation and he only spoke sweet nice words about umno and bn. His reason of being in this blog and god knows how many others is to create doubt, spun the truth to look like lies and lies to look like truth, create distrust, plant misinformation and to make PR look bad and BN to look good.

Isn’t such toxic and insidious posts that eat at the very fabric of truth and justice more obnoxious ? Or obnoxity disguised as “niceness” can be accepted and be allowed to poison the innocent minds ?

Vulgarity – which I really didn’t use in my post – is an important form of expression particularly in a one dimensional form of communication. Not all can write with flowery and colourful phrases and there is really a need to expand the space to accept more of such “creative” endeavours ;-) . Creativity without expression is like making up a corpse only to be buried shortly after. Najib’s “creativity and innovation” as the foundation to drive the nation towards high income nation was really a non starter precisely because of this. When we have nicely disguised zombies walking in the corridors of power whose only claim to fame in the creativity department is in how they could make claims without actually doing what they claimed to have done.

Just my highly inflationary 2 cents worth.

        • Gerakan K,

Remember, demonstrations organized by PR or NGOs are for a good cause, for the Rakyat!

Demonstrations organized by BN which is so sick to the core today, where the Rakyat just do not want to bother with what they do, they resort to demonstrating to scare like the one in Komtar immediately after 308, infront of the State Assembly, cow head, cow head poster stomping! These are bad, with childish behaviour, insensitive of the feelings of the Rakyat, just to gain some political mileage! Gerakan K, do you realize the demonstrations by BN and its cronies hardly gathers more than 50 supporters…? You think the 308 demo in front of Komtar will scare the people? Damn! The whole scenario has evolved into one today where, the people are fighting on rights and abuses not on race, sick head! Do not continue with your spins further! The people in Penang dare to vote opposition and they are not afraid of any consequences! Do not intimidate as the young today are much smarter than you block head spinner! We are here as of rights! Hope this get into your block head!

Demonstrations organized by PR never failed to attract tens of thousands of people from all over the country! Such demos organized in a fair manner goes to show the level of maturity Malaysians are, against an evil regime which is corrupt to the core with sick to the core people like Gerakan K. Without the interference of the PDRM of course! Investors are more willing to invest in a fair country than a corrupt country, with corrupt people!

You continue to want to spin on the 10 billion investment! You sick head! Just what do you want us to say? How many times do you want us to explain? The report was carried out in the MSM. We just cannot meet the requirements of the investors! Putting square pegs in round holes to con investors? That is the work of you and certainly PR is not in that class! People like you luckily are in the minority!

Gerakan K, wake up and stop your spins. Malaysia as a nation, is in dire straits. We need change to forge forward! We hope you do not continue your dirty work for your political masters who had been dumped by the Rakyat! Do something good for the community to save you from being punished in your next life and give your new generation a chance, at least if they are overseas, let other Malaysians a chance! Do not continue to spin your lies!

There is a famous Chinese quote I read somewhere, “until you see the coffin, you will not know how to shed tears”. Regret before it is too late and wake up!!!!! By the way, remember to take care of your bank balance!

He continues to spin lies when we are a faltering country, some has even called us a failed state! With corruption unstoppable, and present at the lowest to the highest level of our Government institutions, and, this block head is still continuing with his spins!

Phua, to any spinners like Gerakan K, there are a lot in town …, let us just asked them 1 simple question,” How has the PR led Government affected your life for the worst?” The results is so clear for all to see, yet they continue to spin their lies. Nothing can be more accurate than the Auditors General report, and the PR Government had shone so proudly. The BN states are still mired in deep corruption and their report cards paled in comparison to their PR counterpart.

In the name of democracy, if the PR Government is no good we dump them, as the powers are with the people that cast the votes and the people deserves the Government they elect! Right now, the BN Government is corrupt and rotten to the core and it is the rights of the Rakyat to dump them! It is just changing leaders, and our lives will continue.

Just hope people like people like Gerakan K, understand the dilemma of the medical profession in the Philippines where their credentials are not recognized, economy so horrible, and doctors has got to give up their jobs in the Philippines, to study as nurses to get a job overseas! He is just sleeping! But sad to say, if we continue the way we are, we will be worst than them in a very short time! FDIs are pouring in there compared to Malaysia which has limited FDIs trifling in. If you hear of the FDIs going into Vietnam, you will understand how far we are behind! What good are we when we are just ahead of Cambodia, Myanmar and Laos? Corrupt Governments never attract FDIs, not demos. Thank you.
