As our dear friend, Anil has pointed out, there are too many vultures hovering around for the poor dying prime recreation land. The way I see it, there is one front runner who may eventually benefited from the new state government stand on the status of the land. The new CM gave a flimsiest excuse on why the land status should as “development”. Behind it, there is one “black hand” who is actively involves in the land matter. To the new state government, he ain’t heavy, he is my BROTHER. Without him, there is no big ceramahs during the 8th GE. He ain’t heavy, he is my BROTHER, without him there is no big election funding. Watch out for this guy. He & his group will be the new waves of CRONIES in Penang & may cause a minor tsunami that will sweep away the present state government. To me, this chap is just another opportunist. He ain’t heavy, he ain’t no BROTHER of mine. The civil societies & NGOs in Penang must stay alert & be prepared to train their (metaphorical) AK47s on the new state government, its cronies or CROOK. If Penangnites had given Gerakan 39 years of chance for screw-ups, why the sudden urgency imposed on the new state government to make things spit and span overnight ??? Do not talk about promises they had made during the elections bcos Gerakan had made many, many promises previously and never seem to materialse after decades. Maybe Penang should hold a by election immediately in order to bring back Gerakan. Penangnites hold a sentimental value for this party and we can surely give them 10 years or maybe 15 years to clear up this mess which they had created. Therefore, Abad Naluri would not dare to insist on the validity of it's agreement with the PTC because the PDC under the state govt. would not be selling the land in Batu Kawan. So both agreements signed by Abad Naluri (if it really had) would lapse automatically. Since the S&P Agreement between the PDC & Abad Naluri had lapsed, the latter company would not be able to get the land in Batu Kawan to build the new turf club for the PTC as per the agreement between Abad Naluri & PTC. Therefore, Abad Naluri would not dare to insist on the validity of it’s agreement with the PTC because the PDC under the state govt. would not be selling the land in Batu Kawan. So both agreements signed by Abad Naluri (if it really had) would lapse automatically.

Predictably, the new govt will be accosted by existing and new vested business interest grps. Politics is always about the "possible"; the integrity of the new govt notwithstanding !
